Stout's Hotel, Gila Bend

This ancient building is Stout's motel.
The sign indicates they have steam heat....
I don't think it's used often.

Space Age Diner- Gila Bend, AZ

Inside the Space Age Diner, Gila Bend AZ.

The food & Service were very good. There are all
sorts of great wall murals and "Space" Art throughout
the diner. If you happen to be traveling nearby, go have lunch!
I have more pictures I'll post tomorrow.

Hummingbirds

These unfortunate Hummingbirds were hurt by domestic cats. They are too disabled, even after rehab to be returned to the wild. This is a reason for us cat & bird lovers to keep the cats in!

Gamble's Quail

Gamble's Quail
This poor guy was probably hurt by a coyote or
house cat. The lady from Feathered Friends told
us, but it's been a while, and I forget :)

A very dirty Tempe Town Lake, taken after
one of our very heavy monsoon storms. When it
rains in Maricopa County, it really does pour!

J.A. Jance book signing

I went to the 01-August-2009 book signing for J.A. Jance's newest release, "Fire and Ice", which is a Beaumont-Brady crossover. She spoke for a bit and signed books. I bought the new one and had my copy of "Hand of Evil" with me as well.
