Blooming Pear Tree

Along the east side of the County Admin building are several Pear trees. This February they were in bloom.
They smelled lovely, but lasted less than 10 days blooming.

Fourth Avenue Jail

Actually, this is the 3rd Avenue side. It's really a nice jail. I'm glad I will never have to spend time in there!!
4th Avenue Jail opened in 2004 and been constantly busy.

Another Bus

Parked next to the Madison Street Jail sally-port.
The black and gold is much nicer than the dirty-white and gold.

Not me! Along Jackson Street are several MCSO inmate transport buses. This is not a bus I ever want to take a ride on!

Santa Fe Railway Building

This is on Jackson between 5th & 6th Ave. They tried to turn into into a arts building but I don't thik it lasted long. Just above is one of the county's parking garages.

Jackson Street

From 5th Avenue, looking east. You can see the ballpark at the end. The large brick building on the north is the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office 4th Avenue Jail.
