Egrets, Cormorants and Coots, Oh My!

Of all the places for waterfowl, Arizona would not have been top of my list. However, there are a ton of water-bird friendly places along the Salt River, Gila River and lakesides. This was taken at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, which has several small lakes/ponds and swampy areas. I lost count of all the great birds. There's even a Great Blue Heron back there if you can spot him.
